IMACS introduced me to the joy of mathematics, logic, and computer science in a way no other program had. The asynchronous structure gave me the freedom to learn at my own pace while diving deeply into challenging topics. It wasn’t just a course; it was a mind-expanding experience that continues to influence how I think and learn.
Corban Pendrak from IMACS in 2nd Grade to UCF!
Corban was a highly talented homeschooled student when he found IMACS in second grade. He excelled in Math Enrichment and Computer Enrichment classes, as well as in university-level Computer Science and Mathematical Logic courses. Corban graduated high school as a National Merit Scholar while scoring 1530 on the SAT and a perfect 36 on the ACT.
With a dedicated interest in technology and cybersecurity, Corban devoted his time to the Civil Air Patrol auxiliary of the US Air Force. He earned the Earhart Award, which recognizes sustained excellence in leadership, aerospace, fitness, and character, and was a Graduate with Distinction of the Cyber Operations Fundamentals Course. Corban also earned a Silver Medal for public service through the Congressional Award Program and was a Florida Top Scholar for CyberStart America.
Corban was accepted at the University of Central Florida, University of Florida, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech, and Covenant College with multiple scholarship and honors college offers. He will attend UCF on a Benaquisto Scholarship and join the Burnett Honors College and LEAD Scholars program. Corban plans to study Electrical Engineering for applications in space with a focus on robotics and cybersecurity.
