Blair Joselson

IMACS not only taught me complex mathematical theorems, computer science principles, and the skill of discipline but also inspired a curiosity in me to look beyond the answers and discover the 'Why?' behind formulas, algorithms, and coding.

Blair Joselson from IMACS in 2nd Grade to Princeton!

Blair started IMACS in 2nd grade. She excelled in Math Enrichment as well as University Computer Science I and II. It is no surprise that Blair aced traditional advanced math classes. Seeking an even deeper understanding, Blair completed the entire Elements of Mathematics: Foundations (EMF) online program that takes students all the way through upper division university course material. She scored 1550 on the SAT with a perfect 800 on the math section. Blair went on to graduate high school as a National Merit Finalist and an AP Scholar with Distinction having scored 5’s on AP Computer Science A and AP Calculus BC.

With a strong interest in science, Blair pursued research and was honored as the 2023 winner of the International Forum on Research Excellence Top Presenter in Geoscience award. She was also inducted into Sigma Xi, the Scientific Research Honor Society. In her freshman year, Blair won her high school’s Pi Competition by reciting 1,019 digits of that famously non-repeating number.

Blair was accepted to Princeton, Georgia Tech, the University of Florida Honors Program with multiple scholarships, and the Miami Herbert Business School at the University of Miami with a Presidential Scholarship. She chose Princeton where she will study Mathematics, Quantitative Economics, and Computer Science. Following her undergraduate degree, Blair also plans to pursue an MBA.
