2010-2011 Full Morning Program - Thursday
Full Enrichment Track (3rd grade - 6th grade)
IMACS Computer Enrichment & Virtual Robotics - 9:10am-10:10am
Students write computer programs and apply their skills in the Virtual Robotics Lab.
This virtual world contains programmable, configurable robots that operate under the physical realities of friction, acceleration and conservation of momentum. Students also use the programming language LOGO, developed at MIT, to complete challenging projects designed by the IMACS Curriculum Development Group. For the first time the third level in the Math Enrichment sequence is available during the Homeschool Program! Full Math Enrichment helps students develop the ability to deal with abstractions and teaches them to think through problems logically. By the end of this level, students will be solving problems that most high schoolers find challenging. Before enrolling
in this class, your child must attend a free Placement Class.
